Being in New York City definitely has its benefits. The city offers amazing opportunities for young artist; it is truly one of the reason why T.A.G. has been able to be so successful. That being said, we would like to share a few more opportunities for teen artists out there, on top to submitting to T.A.G. and being involved with our effort.

For Spring of 2012, CCNY’s Art Education Program is presenting City Art Lab. This will be a series of FREE art classes for high school students in the city. This is a wonderful opportunity and we really hope teens take advantage! Register for the classes and get more information at http://ccnyarted.wordpress.com/city-art-lab/.

Also we would like to recognize MoMA Teens! This MoMA organization is committed to connecting teens to culture and art in the city. They host events and programs throughout the year for teens that should not be overlooked! For example this friday, February 3rd, 2012, MoMA teens is hosting a viewing of WASTE LAND. It is a film that follows artist Vic Muniz as he returns to Brazil to meet and collaborate with workers from the world’s largest dump site. On top of this free film, as always there is free food. For more information check out their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/momateens

Being artists in the city truly has benefits, its undeniable. We should never let these offers go! Get involved in the art world, and on behalf of T.A.G., start making a statement about the growing young artistic community!
