“I’ve heard that some of the best stuff we ever make is created when we are young, and I’m here to prove that.” – Audrey Banks
In 2010, T.A.G. was just a Facebook group. The few members of the group were our close friends. The first round of submissions came from New York City teens, and a small yet successful gallery opened in July showcasing some of the city’s best work. Since that year, curator Audrey Banks has worked hard to show off the young talent in the art world that she always knew existed.
As many might have noticed, the majority of T.A.G. Team members are seniors in high school, who all plan on attending college in the fall. Over the past two years, we have been able to recruit younger members in hope for T.A.G. to continue, as the older generation moves on. Yet, before this generation goes, we will be hosting our final T.A.G. show.
On June 12th, please join us for our summer gallery opening at Salon 94 Freemans. http://salon94.com/. Salon 94 has shown with amazing artists such as Marilyn Minter, Jon Kessler, and Laurie Simmons. Some of these artists have shown at MOMA, Lehman Maupin gallery, the Whitney Biennial, Frieze Art Fair, and Miami Basel, just to name a few. The show will be up for two weeks. The show is free, and features the best, of the best of T.A.G. that we’ve gotten over the years. We hope to see you there!
