Hello artist!

Just a reminder that T.A.G’s deadline will be FEBRUARY 1st 2012! If you want to have a chance to be featured in T.A.G’s 2012 shows in NYC, please submit as soon as possible! http://teenartgallery.org/tag/submit/

Now we would like to confront 3 of the most common excuses we hear why people don’t submit to T.A.G:

EXCUSE #1: “I’m not good enough” – Never go through life saying these words to yourself! And especially never say them when you are talking about art! You never know if you will be chosen for T.A.G. until you give it a shot.  Many of you are a lot more talented than you recognize, that is the art that deserves to be recognized. SUBMIT TO T.A.G.

EXCUSE #2: “I’m too lazy” – STOP THAT. If you are an artist, you should have made art. And if you have made art, than you have art to submit. Now all you need is a camera (or videorecorder for you amazing performers). Please take a photo (or video), and upload it on to the website to submit! If you say you don’t have 5 minutes to go online to do this…then why are you online reading this in the first place? Stop procrastinating. SUBMIT TO T.A.G.

EXCUSE #3: “I didn’t like last year’s space” – Well we are sorry about that. However we are quite proud of the result despite the space. From just an idea and a minimal amount of money, we are proud that we were able to even hold a gallery in the first place. We believe the fact that teens had an opportunity to feature their art in a professional New York City gallery, covered by the New York Times, Project Runway, Paper Mag and more is pretty amazing. We know it was a success; we hope the artist felt the same. This year, T.A.G. is bigger and better than ever, and so is the space. SUBMIT TO T.A.G.
